Nordic mortised slide band reel seats
The reel seats below are a collaboration between Ray Lee and Proof Fly Fishing. The designs reflect a value system at the heart of Proof: simple, purposeful, timeless design.
Each seat is crafted from 18% nickel silver and is individually cut, shaped, soldered, and polished in Ray's workshop. The wood inserts are hand selected, shaped, and finished by hand to create a component that is both functional and refined.
Inspired by Scandinavian design principles, we believe natural beauty often comes from restraint. A simple wood insert highlights the character of the material itself, creating a clean, timeless look.
